The Old Butter Factory was built in 1933 to provide dairy products to the surrounding communities. Later the addition of the Chapel and old school house were incorporated onto the site. The Old Butter Factory is set on over five acres of rolling lawn and age old trees which amble down to the river front with its own private jetty. There is enough room to land a helicopter or come by boat for leisurely trip up the river.
The Old Butter Factory is situated in Telegraph Point about halfway between Sydney and Brisbane a short twenty minute drive from Port Macquarie or Wauchope and thirty minutes to Kempsey.
The Old Butter Factory has its own eleven seater bus to transport guests or can arrange for larger buses if required.

Terms and Conditions
Our terms and conditions have been set out to ensure all guests enjoy a safe and relaxing time whilst visiting The Old Butter Factory. Please read this information carefully as it contains important information about weddings/events at The Old Butter Factory Telegraph Point.
1. BOOKINGS
1.1 Your chosen venue will be held tentatively for seven (7) days, from the date The Old Butter Factory accepts your booking.
1.2 Confirmation of your booking is required in writing to The Old Butter Factory, and a deposit payment made (paragraph two (2) below) within seven (7) days of making your booking. If a signed copy of this “Terms and Conditions” document and a deposit are not received by The Old Butter Factory within seven (7) days, the venue will be released and your booking may be cancelled. Exceptions and extensions may apply at management’s discretion.
1.3 Thirty (30) clear Business Days before your function, final payment to the Venue is required.

3. DEPOSITS
3.1 An $500 non-refundable deposit is required within seven (7) days of booking. The deposit is to be paid with terms and conditions signed and returned before your booking is guaranteed. Tentative bookings without a deposit paid and terms and conditions signed will only be held for a period of seven (7) days. The Venue reserves the right to release any tentative bookings after the seven (7) days.
3.2 Thirty (30) days prior to your wedding date, 100% of your wedding cost is required to be paid
4. PAYMENT
4.1 Full payment of your wedding is required at least Thirty (30) days prior to your wedding date. Services will not be provided without the final payment being received.
4.2 Any additional charges need to be settled on departure.
4.3 The $500 deposit will be held till after the event for final settlement purposes or any damages caused by yourself, patrons or paid contractors. You will be notified regarding any charges processed for any breakages, damages or incidentals.
5. WEDDING DETAILS
5.1 You are required to provide The Old Butter factory in writing particulars of all venues, beverages, entertainment, technical requirements, room setups, starting and finishing times in connection with your wedding. These details are required at least one (1) week before your wedding.
5.2 Guaranteed numbers – final attendance numbers must be notified to The Old Butter factory ten (10) days prior to your wedding..
5.3 You must ensure that nothing is nailed, screwed or adhered in any way to any wall, door or another part of the building unless prior permission is granted by The Old Butter factory.
5.4. All guests are required to observe house rules, trespass, noise (music is to be turned down low after 10.00pm) and general behaviour, particularly at night. Anyone in your party creating nuisance may be asked to leave The Old Butter Factory immediately and will be liable for any damages caused either to other guests or the proprietor.
6. WEDDING CANCELLATION
6.1 All cancellations are required in writing.
6.2 All deposits / payments are non-refundable.
7. CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND THE CONTROL OF THE OLD BUTTER FACTORY
7.1 If The Old Butter Factory is unable to provide the facilities or any other arrangements for your wedding or any part thereof, or to otherwise perform the terms of this agreement and The Old Butter Factory’s failure is due to circumstances beyond its decision or control i.e. power outage/failure, floods etc The Old Butter Factory is not responsible for any costs, damages or expenses that you may suffer or incur.
8. CONDUCT OF THE WEDDING
8.1 Your wedding must be conducted in an orderly and lawful manner.
8.2 The Old Butter Factory may terminate your wedding if the The Old Butter Factory reasonably believes that your wedding is not being conducted in an orderly and lawful manner.
8.3 The Old Butter Factory has no responsibility to you for any costs, damages or expenses that you may incur in relation to The Old Butter Factory termination of your wedding.
8.4 The Old Butter Factory may exclude or remove any persons or possessions from your wedding or from The Old Butter Factory premises. No beverages of any kind, other than those provided by The Old Butter Factory, will be permitted at the wedding venue without the consent of a representative of The Old Butter Factory.
8.5 The Old Butter Factory practices principles of responsible service of alcohol. Intoxicated persons will not be served alcohol and may be removed from the premises.
9. SURCHARGES
9.1 A surcharge of $250 per hour is applicable if a wedding continues later than 11.00pm.
9.2 A surcharge of $200 is applicable to guest numbers greater than eighty (80).
9.3 A surcharge of $200 is applicable for cleaning of the venue and grounds. Other surcharges may apply for use of the kitchen and other facilities.
10. EXTERNAL SUPPLIERS
10.1. Where goods or services are supplied from an external supplier additional terms and conditions may apply, such as additional deposits, earlier confirmation of final numbers or cancellation fees. You are responsible for any fees that may apply in relation to the supplier’s terms and conditions.
10.2 The Old Butter Factory is not liable for external suppliers, such as Photography and Videography, Decorators, Cake Supplier, caterers and others, therefore the suppliers hold all responsibility for their services.
11. ITEMS NOT COLLECTED
11.1 Any items that have not been collected after the event will be disposed of within seven (7) days.
12. THE OLD BUTTER FACTORY WAIVERS RESPONSIBILITY FOR:
12.1 Theft, damage or loss of any goods brought onto the The Old Butter Factory Premises
12.2 Any introduction of food to the wedding and the effect of thereafter.
13. LOSS AND DAMAGE TO THE OLD BUTTER FACTORY PROPERTY
13.1 You are responsible for all loss and damage to the property of The Old Butter Factory (including The Old Butter Factory Premises and any fixtures, furnishings or goods on or off The Old Butter Factory premises) caused by or arising from any act or omission by you, your guests or any other persons attending your wedding/event.
14. SUBSTITUTION FOR WET WEATHER
14.1 Options for wet weather ceremony venue change will be The chapel inside The Old Butter Factory function room. The decision to move the ceremony venue in the event of wet weather is the responsibility of the bride and groom based on advice from The Old Butter Factory. The decision must be made no later than 9.00am on the day of your wedding. In the event, you choose to hold your wedding in the grounds of The Old Butter Factory and the weather becomes inclement prior to the commencement or during your reception and you request The Old Butter Factory to move to the chapel, a fee of $500 including GST will be charged.
15. PRICE VARIATIONS
17.1 Whilst every effort is made to maintain prices as printed or quoted, they may be subject to increase without notice to cover unforeseen price rises. Please note: each package is increased on July one (1) each year. Alcohol prices may change in accordance with suppliers increases.
17.2 If your wedding date is changed to the next year for any reason, the new wedding package prices and venue hire fees will apply.
